La Llorona Xochimilco - Sinópsis

La Llorona Xochimilco es uno de los espectáculos más emblemáticos de la Ciudad de México. Desde 1993, combina música, teatro y danza en un escenario único: la laguna de Tlilac, en el corazón chinampero de Xochimilco, Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO.

 

A bordo de trajineras nocturnas, los espectadores viven una experiencia ritual y sensorial donde niebla, agua y canto recrean la leyenda de La Llorona, evocando el dolor ancestral por la conquista y la pérdida de una cosmovisión indígena. Con iluminación dramática, pirámides flotantes, danzas prehispánicas y cantos en náhuatl y español, la obra trasciende el teatro para convertirse en ceremonia.

 

Nacida como iniciativa comunitaria, busca preservar la tradición, dar visibilidad al patrimonio xochimilca y rendir homenaje al Día de Muertos. Cada edición ofrece un mensaje distinto; en 2024, reflexionó sobre la infancia, la pérdida de identidad y el ajolote como símbolo de resistencia.
